Boat Trip Off The Coast Of Mayo
Earlier this week, I had the pleasure of taking a boat trip off the coast of Ireland, and I brought my camera along for the adventure!
I spent the long weekend in Westport with my family, and I had the pleasure of taking a boat trip off the coast of Ireland during my trip. My Nana is from an island just off the coast of Mayo, called Islandmore, and she organised the family outing so my sister and I could appreciate where she comes from.
I’ve written recently about my new-found appreciation for my home country, and this outing just made me appreciate the beauty of our Irish shores so much more. The views we took in were simply breathtaking!
With Croagh Patrick stood tall behind us, we set sail to the island. It’s true what they say – The simple things like fresh air and sunshine are hard to beat. There is nothing quite like getting some fresh air, but island air is of a different kind. It was such a refreshing few hours and on our way back to Mayo, we stopped off at another island to see some family friends and the hospitality we were greeted with reminded me of what it means to be Irish: To always have your door open and the ability to make one hell of a cup of tea!
I really believe that what you put out into the world, you get back. The kindness we experienced reminded me of just how easily we can impact someone’s day, or life for that matter. You never know what someone is going through, so perhaps flash a smile at a stranger every now and then 🙂
I’m now back in Dublin and excited for the rest that’s to come this month! I’ve got some cool things coming up with my music and I’m also prepping for the final of Miss Universe Ireland at the end of the month which will be a totally new experience for me, but one that I can’t wait to enjoy 🙂 Check out my Instagram story for updates here as I’ll be sharing a lot in the next few weeks 🙂
Hope you enjoy the snaps!
