Miss Universe Ireland: My Experience So Far!
BIG NEWS! I’m a finalist in Miss Universe Ireland 2017!
Hey guys! It’s been a crazy couple of weeks but I’m excited to be writing this entry to update you on what’s been going on recently. If you’re following me on Instagram, you’ll already know my big news, but I am absolutely thrilled to say that I am a finalist in Miss Universe Ireland 2017. It’s an opportunity that came my way completely unexpectedly but the experience so far has been incredible.
I wanted to share my official headshot with you today, which was shot by Irish photographer, Aaron Hurley, who was such a pleasure to work with. Our makeup was done by the lovely Makeup Forever Ireland team with hair by the wonderful, Zero One Salon. If only I had them on hand daily! 🙂
We had our headshot shoot at the beginning of the month, following the announcement of who the finalists are, and since then I have been doing everything I can to prepare for the final night! There will be 3 rounds: Interview, Evening Gown & Swimwear. We’re lucky enough to have some amazing brands involved in the event including Liliana Montoya Swim, Shoes By Chavez & Starla Dress Boutique. The final takes place on August 31st in The Round Room at The Mansion House in Dublin, and it’s set to be quite a show! Grab your tickets here!!!
I also had the pleasure of partaking in an Instagram live stream with some of the other girls and Brittany Mason, the director of Miss Universe Ireland, where we chatted about topics including mental health and bullying. I’m really looking forward to using this platform as a chance to highlight important topics like these that really need to be talked about.
Aside from that, I’ve been upping my workouts and getting everything organised for the night. I have found my evening gown too so I cannot wait to share that with you! ?
I am sorry for missing last week’s post – I had planned to post this update then but things were super hectic and I was unfortunately unable to do so. However, I have the Miss Universe Ireland final to look forward to next week, as well as music related projects and some trips coming up so I’ll be sure to keep you in the loop.
